Every spring the airgun world converges on Nuremberg for IWA OutdoorClassics, and the 2026 edition was the biggest in memory: over 1,050 manufacturers, wholesalers and distributors, with more than 25,000 trade visitors from over 120 countries walking the halls.
The headline launches were unmistakably power-focused. A new generation of side-lever PCP rifles arrived with adjustable regulators, higher fill pressures and larger air reservoirs — platforms designed to push heavier projectiles further and flatter than ever before.
For us the more interesting story was on the ammunition tables. Long-range disciplines such as PRS and NRL22 continue to pull development toward heavier, higher-BC projectiles, but the quiet truth of the show floor is that classic diabolo pellets still feed the overwhelming majority of airguns in daily use.
As a manufacturer that exhibits each year, our takeaway is simple: the hardware keeps getting more capable, which only raises the bar for the consistency of what you load into it. A regulator can stabilise pressure — but it cannot fix a pellet whose weight wanders from tin to tin.
